We are happy that you are interested in the local Santa Barbara Chapter of the Audubon Society and look forward to your participation. Beginning March 2009, we are initiating a new level of membership, replacing the previous Newsletter-only membership. You can now become a Santa Barbara Audubon Society Chapter-Only Member or you can join via the traditional National Audubon Society Membership. Each type of membership is described below.

Chapter-Only Membership

Cost, first year

General: $20

Seniors and students: $15
Subsequent year dues: $35

Includes:

• Six bi-monthly issues of El Tecolote, the local newsletter, which covers upcoming local events, field trips, reports on conservation issues, with feature articles on general interest birding, and the natural history of the Santa Barbara area;
• "Audubon" Magazine - Six bi-monthly issues;
• Free or reduced admission to Audubon Nature Centers and Sanctuaries throughout the United States;
• Portion of your first year dues shared with the Local organization;
• Renewal notices sent from the National Organization;
• Subsequent-year dues mostly supports National issues and advocacy
• Sharing of your contact information with third party organizations
