A bonus birding field trip and you don't want to miss this one. I have received permission to offer a Field Trip for a limited number (20) of SB Audubon Society members (only) at the Sand Point private gated community.

Reservations are required.

Enjoy this opportunity to bird the Carpinteria Salt Marsh from the Sand Point Road. Unfortunately only a limited number of birders will be allowed to sign up for this bird walk so if you are interested please contact Jack Sanford 805 566-2191 or email jacksanford@hotmail.com asap. Leave you name and phone number or email address and I will confirm your reservation.

Target Birds

Long-bill curlew, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Osprey, White-tailed Kite, Water Fowl, Sandpipers, etc.

Directions

From Hwy 101 the Santa Claus Lane exit.
Follow Santa Claus Lane to the southeast end.
Parking is available in the business area just before Santa Claus Lane enters Hwy 101 south.
We will meet near the railroad tracks and proceed from there on foot.

Bring water, snack and wear comfortable shoes.
Binoculars a must, spotting scopes are useful.
